Friday is GiveOUT Day 2021, a national day of giving to LGBTIQ+ projects.
Diversity ACT, a support service and local charity, is hoping to raise enough from the day to cover its annual insurance bill.
Corporate donors are also set to match general donations, doubling the impact of each dollar given.

Diversity ACT Community Services president Megan Watts said any money received would supplement its usual community event fundraising such as sausage sizzles.

"GiveOUT Day is an opportunity for Canberrans to turn some of that love into financial support.
"There's no limit on what you can donate - every dollar that is donated goes straight to helping the LGBTIQ+ community in Canberra."
