It may be time for Brittany Palombi to ditch her white boots for a pair of golden ones, after claiming Canberra's top goal scoring title for the third year in a row.

She managed 23 goals in 17 games to take home the golden boot in the NPLW for the third season, narrowly beating Canberra Olympic FC's Ashleigh Sykes, who had 21 goals to her name.
The Canberra Croatia FC player's efforts contributed to her side taking out the premiership and Federation Cup, but she downplayed her goalscoring ability and said, overall, it came down to her team.
"It comes down to having a good team around me, to help set me up for most of them, but I guess sometimes I'm just in the right position or sometimes just get a bit lucky," she said.
"And it has been a great season, I think we only had two players in our team who didn't score a goal this year.
"It was a bit of a bummer we didn't get to finish the season but I think next year we'll just be looking to continue and keep going with what we had, and hopefully tick all the boxes again."

Palombi and her Croatia teammates had the best goal difference across both the women's and men's top leagues in the ACT after conceding only 14 goals across 17 matches - the same as Belconnen United FC - and scoring 77 goals.
In the ACT's NPL men's it was a first for striker Philippe Bernabo-Madrid, who took home the golden boot.
The Gungahlin United FC player managed 13 goals across his side's 16 matches in the shortened 2021 season, to beat Olympic's Aisosa Ihegie with nine goals.
