Those who have ventured to the Canberra Centre recently may have already seen the advertisements indicating that the opening of the capital's first LEGO Certified Store is inching closer.
Store operator, Alquemie Group and LEGO Australia and New Zealand announced in March that the iconic retail store would be coming to Canberra. It will house one of the country's widest selections of LEGO sets - including limited editions - in addition to a portfolio of play experiences, activities and events.
With "opening soon" advertisements taking over the shopping centre, LEGO lovers can expect the store to open in the coming weeks.
The store will include a large, wall-mounted mosaic and a world-first 3D model of a yet-to-be-announced local landmark made by the southern hemisphere's only LEGO certified professional, Ryan "Brickman" McNaught.
There will also be a Pick a Brick Wall - where you can fill a cup with your choice of LEGO bricks and elements - and a Build a Minifigure Tower - which will allow people to mix and match from a wide selection of heads, hair, tops, bottoms and accessories to create a bespoke Minifigure.
There will also be a Digital Box where people to scan almost any LEGO boxed set and watch it come to life in 3D on a wall-mounted screen.
