Merivale has officially opened the doors to its third venue on the NSW South Coast, Quarterdeck - a 20-year-old Narooma institution reincarnated with a modern twist on traditional tiki vibes.

Set on Wagonga Inlet, Quarterdeck champions the incredible produce of the South Coast alongside re-imagined cocktails, in one of Australia's most beautiful settings.
Key dishes on head chef Tal Buchnik's menu include Wagonga rock oysters, snapper ceviche, grilled citrus pork belly tacos and a QD sundae, served simply, with the local produce as the star.
Behind the bar, Victor Costa serves a thirst-quenching drinks menu centred around a selection of traditional crowd pleaser cocktails, delivered theatrically.
Signature must-haves include a banana daiquiri, pina colada and the infamous zombie - which combines the fresh flavours of Bacardi, apricot brandy and pineapple in a drinking vessel you just have to see - along with a generous selection of wines by the glass.
The interiors of Quarterdeck have had a light refresh and capture the essence of dining by the water. The combination of casual furnishings, an Instagram-worthy view and the sound of specially curated reggae beats ensures relaxed fun for guests as they settle in and enjoy the sun set over the inlet.
"Quarterdeck is a slice of unique local culture in one of the most beautiful spots on the South Coast," Merivale CEO Justin Hemmes said
"It is somewhere for people to connect, celebrate and dine on the best produce the South Coast has to offer, while enjoying an incredible view with a cocktail in hand.
"Narooma has become my second home and the backdrop to many of my happiest memories with my family. It has been an absolute privilege to spend so much time here over the past six years and becoming part of the local business community is enormously exciting."
Merivale purchased Quarterdeck in March 2021, becoming the group's first venue outside of Sydney, closely followed by Narooma's The Whale Inn, a boutique hotel and restaurant, in June 2021.
Merivale said it was proud to have created a diverse range of employment opportunities for locals and was committed to providing professional, top-notch training.
"In addition to creating career paths for locals, the opening of Quarterdeck will support complementary businesses within the community and aims to help to boost the local economy through the attraction of year-round tourism and visitation to the NSW South Coast," the company said.
