This year's event will see the CSO mark the 38th anniversary of the treasured event, with a varied program of cherished light classics and Christmas arrangements featuring vocalist Rachael Toms and conducted by Graham Abbott.
The annual open-air event on the lawns of Government House will be celebrated by an audience of 2000, with festive favourites performed such as Drummer Boy, O Come All Ye Faithful, Jingle Bell Rock, and Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas.
After several months of COVID cancellations, the orchestra is looking forward to returning to the stage, according to CSO concertmaster Kirsten Williams.
"The annual Summer Prom is one of our favourite performances of the year - what better way to herald our return," Kirsten said.
"This year's event will be a special one, with more than a few favourites in the program for everyone to enjoy."
The concert will start at 6pm. Gates open at 4.45pm.
