She will lead Western District into their Glenda Hall Shield opener against Tuggeranong at Kaleen Turf Oval on Saturday.
But resting in the back of her mind will be the game she has to back up for 24 hours later as Cricket ACT welcomes the dawn of a new era for women's cricket in the region.
Kuchlmayr will and a sprinkling of Wests teammates will join forces with a rival club, forming Western District-ANU in the revamped Cricket ACT women's first grade competition.
Western District-ANU will face Tuggeranong-Weston Creek Molonglo at Jamison Oval on Sunday. Ginninderra-North Canberra-Gungahlin meets Eastlake-Queanbeyan at Kippax in the other match of the round.

ACT Meteors players will be split between the clubs, with Kuchlmayr granted the chance to team up with the likes of Maddie Penna, Zoe Cooke, Matilda Lugg, Amy Yates and Kayla Burton this summer.
"Just seeing that next level up really inspires the way you train and the way you think about the game," Kuchlmayr said.
"Just knowing you can play cricket on a Saturday, and then go on Sunday and play first grade, that will be excellent for our girls' pathway.
"Starting cricket at a young age, especially as a female in ACT, there wasn't many options. Now there is that option to play on a Sunday and play that next level up playing some players I've idolised throughout my time playing.
"Just having that opportunity to perform at that next level locally, not having to go to Sydney, it really really helps strengthen that competition."
There is some hope conditions will ease this weekend after rain battered the opening three rounds of the men's Gallop Cup competition. Only four of a possible 12 one-day games have been completed this season.
