The 10-year-old girl was hit by a car while she was crossing a pedestrian crossing on a pushbike. ACT police and ambulance attended the scene just before 9am on Tuesday.
The collision occurred at the crossing on Osburn Drive near the intersection with Cannan Crescent, Macgregor.
The girl suffered minor injuries and was able to proceed to her school where the ACT Ambulance Service was called to assist. She was taken to hospital as a precaution.
The driver of a white, older vehicle, possibly a stationwagon did not stop and provide assistance. Police would like the driver to come forward to assist with the investigation.

The ACT Emergency Services Agency reported traffic was not impacted but encouraged motorists to avoid the area.
In addition, a two car collision on the Monaro Highway at the Mugga Lane intersection slowed traffic this morning.
