Well, the ACT has risen to fame, recording its first Omicron case on Friday night with a second suspected case on Saturday.
Don't start packing away the Christmas lunch set yet though, as Health Minister Rachel Stephen-Smith said the ACT government wasn't considering reimposing social restrictions at this stage, with plans for as "COVID normal Christmas as possible".

Turning our attention to another crisis that will go on for decades, climate change is once again a hot topic up on the hill.
Opposition Leader Anthony Albanese announced on Friday afternoon that if elected Labor would commit to a 43 per cent emissions reduction of 2005 levels by 2030.
Prime Minister Scott Morrison donned the high-vis and hard hat at a snowy hydro press conference based in Talbingo, making sure everyone remembers 43 per cent is not safe.
"A 43 per cent target isn't safe for the Hunter. It's not safe for Gladstone. It's not safe for Bell Bay. It's not safe for our manufacturers. It's not safe for our jobs," he said.
In conclusion, no one is safe.
At least we're safe from having to witness any more sitting weeks for the year, after growling, calls for legs to stay shut and my recent discovery that boofhead is a genuine way of insulting someone, I think everyone is excited for a break.
In more exciting news for those with toddlers to tweens, Health Minister Greg Hunt announced on Saturday that a vaccine rollout for 5-11 year olds is set to begin in January next year.
Approval is on the way from the Therapeutic Good Administration and Atagi, which Hunt says is "heading in a positive direction".
For some though, vaccine can be a bit of a trigger word, as Melbourne has another anti-vaccine mandate rally with 1000s after the Andrews government's pandemic bill became law on Thursday.
Add a bit of flooding into the mix, Queensland authorities say floodwaters at Goondiwindi in the state's southwest have nearly peaked.
Oh, and to sum up there was a stabbing this fine Saturday morning, which has left a man dead in Canberra with another male in custody following the incident.
Hopefully Sunday proves to be a little less dramatic.
