The Cats bundled an undermanned Giants out of last season's finals series, and the early chance for revenge will come on May 7, two weeks after GWS hosts St Kilda under Friday night lights in Canberra to kick off the AFL's ANZAC appeal round.
Two matches against interstate opposition will also be played at Manuka Oval later in the year, against the Brisbane Lions in round 18 and Fremantle in GWS's last game of the regular season.
Thursday's fixture announcement comes a week after the AFL Women's draw revealed the Giants would host Carlton in Canberra on February 25.
"It's great to be able to reward our Canberra community with an extra game in 2022 after not being able to take any games to the nation's capital in 2020, and again missing games in 2021," Giants chief Dave Matthews said.
"It's been a tough few years but we're ready for a big big 2022."
The quartet of matches in Canberra comes after the ACT government pushed for an extra fixture in the capital, after two COVID-affected years.
St Kilda in round six is likely to draw a huge crowd, with Canberra juniors Jack Steele and Tom Highmore now on the Saints' list.

Brisbane, who have grown into one of the AFL's strongest clubs on the field in recent seasons, has the potential to pull a big crowd also while the final-round Dockers clash could have significant finals ramifications. But it's the round-eight clash with Geelong likely to leave most ACT-based Giants members most excited. It will mark Cameron's first return to Canberra since trading the orange and charcoal for the navy blue and white hoops.
Cameron kicked 39 goals for the Cats in his debut season with Geelong, and his absence in the GWS forward line was sorely missed.
Livewire forward Toby Greene took up most of the slack booting a club-high 45 majors up forward, before being suspended for six matches in the first week of the finals after making contact with an umpire.
Greene is set to make his return from suspension against the Saints in Canberra, and should be available for the grudge match against Cameron's Cats.
Queanbeyan junior Josh Fahey will also potentially be available after being drafted to the club last month.
"He's settling in well, and it's been good to have another Canberra boy around the club," Giants midfielder Tom Green said.
