The call was made less than three hours before tip off after what is believed to have been a positive test result in the Flames camp.
Wilson's milestone match is now set to be against the Melbourne Boomers in Traralgon on Saturday, for which the Capitals will depart on Friday.
It's the second time this season a match between the Capitals and Flames has been called off, after a positive test in Canberra's squad in December.
Sydney's clash against the Perth Lynx on Saturday has also been postponed.

Wednesday's highly anticipated contest was to be the first between the two sides since their round-one encounter, from which Capitals coach Paul Goriss received a five-match ban after obtaining secret training footage of the opposition.
Goriss was given the footage by referee Simon Cosier, who received a season-long ban.
The postponement of Wednesday's match is set to delay the return of Goriss, who had originally been slated to come back in for the January 21 clash with the Southside Flyers down in Ballarat.
