A more general severe thunderstorm warning remains current for the South West Slopes and parts of the Southern Tablelands, Central West Slopes and Plains, Riverina, Lower Western, Upper Western and Australian Capital Territory districts.
The Bureau of Meteorology issued a severe thunderstorm warning for Canberra and Queanbeyan at about 3.30pm on Thursday, saying damaging winds, large hailstones and flash flooding was likely to occur by about 5pm.
An update at about 5.15pm said the storm was near Belconnen and expected to move south-east towards Canberra City by 5.35pm.
The ACT State Emergency Service said it received four additional requests for assistance relating to storm damage from 4.30pm to 5.30pm on Thursday. They said it was unconfirmed if these requests related to damage from Monday's storm.
"Severe thunderstorms are likely to produce damaging winds, large hailstones and heavy rainfall that may lead to flash flooding in the warning area over the next several hours," BOM said.
"Severe thunderstorms were detected on the weather radar near Mount Franklin in the Brindabellas, Goobarragandra (east of Tumut) and Wee Jasper.
"These thunderstorms are moving towards the south-east. They are forecast to affect Belconnen, Canberra Civic, Tuggeranong, Hall, Gungahlin, South Canberra, Weston Creek and Woden Valley by 4.25pm."
Severe thunderstorms are no longer occurring in the South Coast district and the warning for this district has been cancelled.
The alert follows significant damage caused by a storm on Monday night, which is still leaving some in the ACT without power.
