Lawyers for two men allegedly busted cultivating hundreds of cannabis plants in suburban Canberra are set to enter into negotiations with prosecutors, a court has heard.

Thanh Tung Bui, 35, and Le Duong Tran, 34, were arrested at a Macgregor house last month when police raided the place and allegedly found 255 cannabis plants inside.
After initially being remanded in custody, the Vietnamese men were granted bail.
They sat in the public gallery at the ACT Magistrates Court on Thursday morning as their lawyer, Anna Vu, appeared by audio-visual link and requested a six-week adjournment.
Ms Vu told magistrate Beth Campbell she was seeking this time "for negotiations to occur, and for our office to make representations to the [Director of Public Prosecutions]".
Neither of the men have entered pleas to a charge of cultivating a commercial quantity of cannabis.

However, their 64-year-old co-defendant, Duc Hop Nguyen, pleaded not guilty on Thursday to two counts of the same offence.
Police allege he was involved in cultivating the cannabis allegedly found at the Macgregor home, as well as a further 197 plants investigators claim to have discovered growing inside an Amaroo property during a raid on the same day.
The Canberra Times has previously revealed police began investigating Mr Nguyen in May last year after becoming suspicious he was involved in cannabis cultivation in the ACT.
Investigators attached a tracking device to the 64-year-old's Honda CRV and claim to have discovered the vehicle visited the Macgregor house almost daily for several weeks in October and November.
The car is said to have "abruptly ceased" going to this house before beginning to regularly attend the Amaroo property across a three-week period.
After the device apparently failed, police obtained warrants for both properties and seized the cannabis plants that were allegedly found growing in "sophisticated" hydroponic set-ups.
Ms Vu also represented Mr Nguyen on Thursday, entering the not guilty pleas on his behalf.
The 64-year-old man, who is also on bail, is due back in court on March 24.
Mr Bui and Mr Tran are, meanwhile, listed to appear again on February 24.
