The Canberra Chilli Festival is taking over Gold Creek's Federation Square next month, providing some of the hottest food, condiments and challenges all in one place.
Organised by Canberra Chilli and Hot Sauces, the February 5 and 6 event is the one chilli lovers have been waiting for.
As well as a selection of vendors offering their selections of spicy food, the main attraction for the weekend is the chilli competitions for both young and the young at heart.
Among the challenges is the Australian Extreme Meatball challenge on the Sunday.
Do you love meatballs? Can you handle eating five of them? Do you love your chilli? Can you handle hot and above?
There will also be a hot wings challenge, a spicy shots challenge and a chilli chomping competition.
To register for any of the competitions go to cbrchillifestival@hotmail.com.
The event will be held on February 5, from 10am to 4pm and February 6, from 10am to 3pm.
