1. December
While the calendar may say we're about to enter April, December is coming to the Canberra Theatre Centre this weekend. December is a narrative filled with astounding acrobatics and large-scale drawing that tells the story of a nation hit hard by the climate crisis. Delivered by Canberran Jake Silvestro, the show reflects on sustainability and the broader community's response to the 2019/2020 Australian bushfires. Friday, 8pm and Saturday, 2pm and 8pm. 2. Teen Jesus and the Jean Teasers
Rising punk stars Teen Jesus and the Jean Teasers unleashed the video for their latest single Miss Your Birthday last month. Now, the Canberra band is dishing up the track live, with a gig at UC Hub. Co-written with Alex Lahey and produced by Violent Soho's James Tidswell, Miss Your Birthday is a slice of instantly-memorable alt-rock. It comes after a stellar reception to the group's song AHHHH! and signing to the label Domestic La La. Saturday, 8pm. UC Hub. Tickets from $23.18 from Moshtix.

3. Geek Market
Did someone say superheroes and LEGO stars? Head to the Geek Markets this weekend where you can meet Thor of Oz - aka former Tuggeranong boy Andrew, who is now a successful Thor impersonator. Also appearing will be Michael Ryan, Harrison Barnett and Fleur Watkins from LEGO Masters, Banshee and Canberra's Spiderman. Saturday, 9am to 5pm. Exhibition Park. Entry is free but register at Eventbrite.
4. San Cisco
Indie three-piece San Cisco is packing their bags and heading to the capital this weekend. Throughout their 10 year career, they have become one of Australia's most successful independent artists, gaining millions of streams and touring the world selling out headline shows and appearing at festivals such as Splendour In The Grass, Lollapalooza, Reading and Leeds. Their fourth album, Between Me and You, released in late 2020, will see the trio bring songs such as When I Dream, Skin, festival anthem Reasons and On The Line, to the stage. Sunday, 8pm. 5. Mister Ott
Sydney jazz sextet Mister Ott mergers eastern sounds, tight jazz-funk, melismatic horn lines and high calibre ecstatic solos. Let them you on a journey, to another place and time where you lose yourself in the music when they perform this weekend. Friday, 8pm. The Street. Free event but bookings at thestreet.org.au.
