And Raiders utility Matt Frawley shines a light on the secret to Hasler's success after working under him at Canterbury.
Hasler gave Frawley his NRL debut at the Bulldogs in 2017 and the two will come up against each other when the Raiders travel to Mudgee to face Manly on Saturday.
The Green Machine will fly out on Friday before flying back to Canberra straight after the game.
Frawley enjoyed working under Hasler and revealed the secret to the coach known as the mad scientist's success.
Hasler has had the better of his encounters with Stuart in the coaching box, winning all but five of the 23 games between them.
The Raiders have also struggled against Manly, losing seven of the past nine hitouts.
Frawley said the Sea Eagles' slow start to the season made them even more dangerous, especially with the world-class players they have in the side - like fullback Tom Trbojevic.
"I liked my time under Des. He's pretty intense as everyone knows, but there's another side to Des you don't get until you play under him," he said.
"I can't say anything but good things about Des. He's a great coach and he gets his players to play for him.
"He'll have them raring to go on the weekend."

Frawley spent the pre-season training as an understudy at dummy half for Josh Hodgson (knee) and Tom Starling.
While most of his career has been spent playing in the halves, it's a position the 27-year-old has played before.
He spent a season at hooker in under-20s and also played a couple of games there for Huddersfield in the English Super League.
"My first year of under-20s here I played a full year of hooker and then went back into the halves," Frawley said.
"I played one or two games in the Super League when we had a few injuries there over at Huddersfield so I've played there a little bit.
"Filling in this year's probably the first year I've done a full pre-season at nine and I'm really thankful I was able to do that because it's not as new to me now.
"I've had the education and time there in pre-season, which has helped me heaps."
