Our pick of what's happening in Canberra this weekend.
1. White Pearl
Is all publicity good publicity? That's the question at the heart of White Pearl. It follows six women at the the oh-so-cool Singapore headquarters. Sales of their new range - White Pearl skin-whitening cream - are going through the roof. That is, until their new television commercial is leaked online and starts going viral for the wrong reasons. Wednesday to Friday, 8pm and Saturday, 2pm and 8pm. Canberra Theatre. Tickets from $59 from canberratheatrecentre.com.au.

2. Handmade Market
After a two-year hiatus, Canberra icon, the Handmade Market is back in full force. More than 220 of the best Australian designers and producers will be returning to the Handmade Market this weekend. The gourmet food hall will be filled with street food vans and producers, creating a feast for the senses. Shoppers looking for Mother's Day will also be spoiled for choice with a large range of jewellery, clothing and homewares. Saturday and Sunday, 10am to 4pm. Exhibition Park. Entry by gold coin donation to Givit.

3. While You Sleep
Disappear into surreal worlds where nothing is as it seems. Co-created by Sal Cooper and Kate Neal, While You Sleep sees original music interwoven with animation and visuals. Committing music and movements to memory, the piano and string quartet push boundaries in their performance as they whizz and spin on stage. Musicians emerge and disappear behind dream-like images on large screens. This is part of the Canberra International Music Festival and sees The Street team up with producer Tura. Friday and Saturday, 7.30pm. The Street. Tickets from thestreet.org.au.
4. Daniel Muggleton
Australian stand-up comedian Daniel Muggleton (and the red tracksuit he has become known to wear on stage) is bringing his latest show White and Wrong (But Mostly White) to Canberra. One of the country's most exciting comedians, Muggleton's debut special Let's Never Hang Out proved to be a hit, airing multiple times on ABC Comedy, and is now streaming on Prime Video. Saturday, 7pm. Smith's Alternative. Tickets from $25 from smithsalternative.com.
