Russia may allow over-40s to join its army

Russians over the age of 40 may be allowed to join the military if a bill is passed into law.

In a sign of Russia's urgent need to bolster its war effort in Ukraine, the parliament says it will consider a bill to allow Russians over 40 and foreigners over 30 to sign up for the military.
