West Australian police will launch an internal investigation after two men aboard a motorcycle were killed in a crash in Perth's south.

The men died at the scene early on Thursday after crashing near the intersection of Patterson Rd and Ennis Ave in Rockingham.
Major crash detectives are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.
West Australian police believe the same motorcycle had ridden past a nearby patrol vehicle shortly before the crash.
"At this time, it is believed there was no attempt made to intercept the motorcycle," police said in a statement.
"However given the close proximity in time to the crash, officers from the Internal Affairs Unit will review the circumstances surrounding the entire incident."
