Investigators believe one or more people forced their way through the front door of a home some time between 3pm and 6pm, stealing the black Cervelo racing bicycle as well as electronics and jewelry.
Crime Prevention Station Sergeant Harry Hains said forensics officers attended the house as part of the investigation.
“The bicycle is distinctive and purpose built for racing,” Sergeant Hains said.
“It’s important that the community is aware that the purchase or receipt of any item known or suspected to be stolen is a serious offence.”
He said anyone with information about the sale of goods suspected to be stolen should contact ACT Police Operations on 131 444 immediately.
Police are appealing for any witnesses who may have seen the incident to come forward.
Anyone who may be able to assist with the investigation should contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or at www.act.crimestoppers.com.au.
