The ACT Government has invited tenders for bridge strengthening on the eastbound carriageway of Fairbairn Avenue over Woolshed Creek, between Morshead Drive and Majura Road.
Tenders have also been invited on three bridges along the Monaro Highway, on the northbound and southbound carriageways near Jerrabomberra Avenue, and the northbound carriageway between Lanyon Drive and Warren Road.
A spokesman for Territory and Municipal Services said, "The increased road rating will enable the next generation of heavy vehicles designed under the performance based standard scheme access to these two important roads without restriction."
