Bureaucrats in the Federal and territory sectors have seen average hourly wages grow by 3.8 per cent, according to the latest quarterly figures.
Australia-wide, private sector workers saw earnings grow by 3.1 per cent in the past 12 months and public sector pay by just 3 per cent.
The wages bulletin only bureaucrats in West Australia have seen their wages rise faster than Canberra based government workers in the past 12 months, with public sector workers in the boom state enjoying an 4 per cent increase in their average hourly wages.
