Police were called to a Hawker home about 9.20pm on Sunday following reports of an offender on the property. Upon arrival, the 28-year-old Page woman attempted to flee the scene.

She was arrested nearby a short time later and was charged with burglary and escaping lawful custody.

She will face the ACT Magistrates Court on Monday, when police will be opposing bail.
