A man allegedly sexually assaulted a 35 year old woman he offered to walk home through Glebe Park in Civic on Saturday night.

A 26-year-old man has been arrested over this incident and will face the ACT Magistrates Court on Monday morning, charged with five counts of sexual intercourse without consent and one charge of damage to property.
During the alleged assault, the woman saw a Caucasian man watching, and ACT Policing are now appealing for the man to assist with the investigation.
The woman was walking from the city bus interchange around 11.30pm when a man, whom she knew as an acquaintance, offered to walk with her, police said.
As they walked through Glebe Park the woman was sexually assaulted by the man.
Police are urging the man who may have witnessed the assault to get in touch via ACT Policing on 13 14 44 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
