A baby and a two people were hospitalised after a serious car accident on the Monaro Highway on Sunday afternoon.

Police say the accident occurred at 4.40pm at the intersection of Old Cooma Road in Royalla and involved a Toyota Corolla and a Toyota Hilux.
The passenger of the Corolla suffered life threatening injuries and was taken to the Canberra Hospital by paramedics along with the driver.
An infant who was travelling in the Hilux was also transported to the Canberra Hospital for observation.
Police said traffic on the Monaro Highway was restricted for about three hours while the collision scene was cleared by authorities.
The accident is currently being investigated.
