Interim preference numbers published by Elections ACT last night show the seat held by ACT Greens Leader Meredith Hunter falling to Labor candidate Yvette Berry.
Last night's tally indicated for the first time an assembly with eight Labor seats and eight Canberra Liberals, and the balance of power held by lone Green Shane Rattenbury.
The new numbers still show Canberra Liberals candidate Andrew Wall edging out Greens MLA Amanda Bresnan in Brindabella, while in Molonglo, Liberals candidate Elizabeth Lee has inched ahead of incumbent Steve Doszpot.
The Molonglo count also puts Attorney-General Simon Corbell marginally ahead of Labor candidate Meegan Fitzharris, while Mr Rattenbury holds a slim lead over his colleague Caroline Le Couteur.
The lead held by Ms Berry over Ms Hunter in Ginninderra is about 370 votes.
Just more than 50 per cent of preferences have been counted in each of the electorates.
Electoral commissioner Phil Green warned last night the results were likely to change as more preferences were counted through the week. The final make-up of the assembly is not likely to be known before Saturday. The Canberra Liberals still held a wafer-thin lead in the popular ballot yesterday, edging out ACT Labor by just 22 votes. Mr Green said only 4000 first-preference votes were left to be counted, including postal, declaration and interstate votes.
