Or a champagne breakfast for 14 on the roof of Parliament House, a flight in a Tiger Moth or a day’s sailing on Sydney Harbour?
Perhaps you’d be up for two silver season passes to Summernats, Porsche Supercup hotlaps or, for something less pacey, some 30-minute Segway rides?
Or maybe you’re more the educational type – why not bid on a private guided tour for two at the War Memorial with director Brendan Nelson, or a behind-the-scenes tour of the new Canberra Airport?
All of these things, and many more, are now up for grabs in a series of charity auctions as part of the Centenary’s fundraiser for its two official charities: Dollars for Dili and the Boundless all-abilities children’s playground.
Centenary executive director Jeremy Lasek said the fundraising target was $30,000, with the proceeds to be split equally between to the two charity projects.
Dollars for Dili will help fund better sanitation facilities in nominated Dili schools, and an activity centre for East Timor Scouting, and the Boundless Canberra project is focused on building a playground in the Parliamentary Zone catering for children with vision, hearing and mobility impairments, as well as spectrum disorders.
Mr Lasek said the team had been overwhelmed by the donation of items and experiences – 37 in all - for the auctions, which go live tomorrow at allbids.com.au.
