1. Pimp My Chimney
The popular Sydney food truck is bringing their Insta-worthy desserts to Canberra. Pastry chimneys, which are doughy on the inside and crunchy on the outside, are loaded up with ice cream and toppings - choose from the Loony Toons, Caramel Baby, Coco Loco, Cheeky Cho, Naughty Nuts or pimp your own creation.
2. The Avocado Hut
An entire menu dedicated to avocado - need we say more? Melbourne's The Avocado Hut has toasties, smashes avo, and fries loaded up with luscious avo. Plenty of good vegan and vego options too.
3. Down N' Out
Coming to Canberra for the first time is Sydney's Insta-famous Down N' Out burgers. Known for their limited edition burgers and infamous 'death sauce' made from the world's hottest chillies, they are bringing a secret burger creation especially for The Commons.
3. All of the Meat
If it's serious meat you're after, you'll be well looked after. Get In The Q is making their Commons debut with their 36-inch smoker on the back of a 1952 Chevy truck, cooking up 14 hour ironbark and pecan smoked beef brisket. MEET, who were popular at last year's Commons, will be back with melt-in-your-mouth smoked food from their Texas style pit smoker. And Maverick Wings is all about chicken wings - they serve them up in 12 edgy flavours.
5. Gelato Messina
The gelato masters are coming back, and as usual, bringing some exclusive creations for The Commons. This time around it's dessert biscuits with a serious case of disco fever. There is Saturday Nut Fever full of hazelnut, the minty fresh After Disco Mint, or Bisco Inferno with salted caramel gelato and chewy caramel.
The Commons is on November 30 - December 10 at Commonwealth Park. All ages and entry is free. Open Mon to Wed 5-9pm, Thurs 5-10pm, Fri 5pm-11pm, Sat noon-11pm, Sun noon-9pm.
