George will perform a DJ set as part of the opening of Kokomo's, the new Tiki-themed restaurant and bar at the former Tongue and Groove spot on Bunda Street.
The opening event is on the night of Friday June 2, with tickets going on sale tomorrow.
The British singer is currently based in Sydney as a judge on The Voice Australia.
"Kokomo's is passionate about raising the bar in standards in hospitality in Canberra, and to show our commitment to that we thought we would bring Boy George to Canberra," said Kokomo's Alex Badham.
Unfortunately there will be no singing from George, who will perform a house DJ set. But it will be a chance to get fairly close to him, with only a few hundred tickets likely to go on sale.
Tickets go on sale Thursday May 25 via Eventbrite.
