Canberra's iconic National Carillon will be releasing an album early next year.
The ANU School of Music has partnered with the National Capital Authority to commission the album of songs from 10 of the country's leading composers, including Emeritus Professor Larry Sitsky AM and Dr Natalie Williams at the ANU School of Music.
Together they will work with senior carillonist Dr Thomas Laue and the Carillon's lead carillonist, Lyn Fuller.
Unfortunately we'll have to wait until next year to hear the finished product, which will have its world premiere at a free concert in May 2017 at the Canberra International Music Festival.
The album will also travel internationally for another premiere at the World Carillon Federation World Congress in Barcelona in July 2017.
