History fascinates me because: it tells us so much about who we are and how we got where we are now. I'm also a huge stickybeak, I love reading about people's lives and the worlds they lived in.

My honours thesis is about: the way Australians remember the role played by Australian women during World War I. I will be studying films, novels and family histories to understand how we reconcile what has traditionally been a male-dominated area of history with modern ideas of gender equality and feminism.
The highlight of my semester on exchange at Trinity College, Dublin was: learning about Irish history in the place where so much of it happened. I was able to walk in the footsteps of people like Oscar Wilde and Robert Emmet every day, and taking classes in such old buildings was amazing as several buildings on campus predate European settlement of Australia. I also loved taking part in some of Trinity's societies and clubs. Knitting club was a particular favourite of mine!
My reading challenge of a book a week is: a goal I set myself a few years ago to read 52 books a year. Reading helps me relax and I really enjoy it, but I tend to read my favourite books over and over again or run out of time to read when uni gets busy. The challenge makes me try new books and new genres and forces me to take some time to relax each week.
My role in High Fidelity is: Anna. She's a sweet and naive girl with terrible taste in music who falls for one of the record store employees. She has to overcome her shyness and learn to stand up for herself and she is a really fun character to play. High Fidelity is a high-energy show with some great original music. It is also based on one of my favourite novels.
The most memorable experience of my performing career so far was: playing Kitty Bennet in Canberra Rep's production of Pride and Prejudice in 2012. Pride and Prejudice is my favourite novel so being able to escape into the Bennet household each night was a real treat.
High Fidelity is on at ANU Arts Centre until February 21.
