The elves have been reporting back to Santa at the North Pole each night, letting him know who has been naughty or nice.
They have also most likely been causing some headaches for parents tired of coming up with creative hiding spots.
Elf on the Shelf returned on December 1 and now that we're past the half-way mark, we thought parents could do with some inspiration.

Among the most creative Elf on the Shelfers is Banks mum Erin Simonis who has her family's "Elfie" in all kinds of wacky situations. Her children Isabel; seven, and Isaac, can't wait each morning to see what old Elfie has been up to.
Erin laughs that it is her first year with Elf on the Shelf so her enthusiasm and creativity are still high.
"I might be needing more inspiration next year," the confessed Christmas-a-holic laughed.
"I love Christmas, I adore Christmas. I'm hosting Christmas for 20 people this year. It's the best."
