GOOD FRIDAY, APRIL 14
DARRELL LEA EASTER EGG HUNT
A Darrell Lea Easter egg hunt to raise money for Red Nose (previously ACT SIDS and Kids) will be held on Good Friday on the Patrick White Lawns between the National Library and Lake Burley Griffin.
The event is ticketed with a family pass (two adults and two children) costing $30 with each additional child costing $15.
The ticket gets access to activities including a jumping castle, face painting, games, petting zoo, Retiles Inc, live music and the Easter egg hunt for the children aged from three to 12. These are at no further cost.
The hunt will be broken up into age groups in the following times.
- 10am – gates open
- 10:30am – 11-12 Years & 9 & 10 Years
- 11am – 7 & 8 Years
- 11:30am – 3 & 4 Years
- Noon – 3 & 4 Years
- 1pm – gates close

EASTER SUNDAY, APRIL 16
THREDBO GOLDEN EASTER EGG HUNT
It's an Easter egg hunt with a difference and makes for some dramatic scenes as hundreds of people scour the mountains above Thredbo on Easter Sunday searching for eggs worth a lot of money.
There is one jackpot Lindt bunny worth $5000 and five $1000 Gold Lindt eggs to be found.
Registration is from 11am on April 16 at the top of the Mount Kosciuszko express chairlift, with the hunt to start at noon. The advice is to be prepared to be on the chairlift by at least 10am.
The event is free.
Also on the day is the famous Giant Kids Easter Egg Hunt on Thredbo's Village Green at 10am where more 5000 chocolate eggs will be waiting to be found.
THE MUSEUM OF AUSTRALIAN DEMOCRACY GREAT EASTER EGG TRAIL
Housed within Old Parliament House, the Museum of Australian Democracy takes great delight handing over the stately building for some family fun with the Great Easter Egg Trail on Easter Sunday.
Last year's event attracted more than 6500 participants, with the aim to also introduce children to the museum in a playful way.
You'll need to find the clues and crack the codes to get close to the eggs. The Gecko Gang will lead picnic games. There will also be a Rotary Club barbecue. And the chance to win some prizes.
The event is free and open from 9am to noon on Easter Sunday, although the Gecko Gang continues through until 2pm.
RODNEY'S PLANTS PLUS AT PIALLIGO
Rodney's has always been the place to go for an Easter egg hunt.
It will be held on Easter Sunday, April 14 for children aged up to 12. It starts at 10.30am.
There is no cost to participate, and places are limited to the first 100 reservations - so registration is essential by calling 6257 5822.
EASTER SATURDAY, APRIL 15 AND EASTER SUNDAY, APRIL 16
THE YARRALUMLA PLAY STATION EASTER EGG HUNT
The Yarralumla Play Station Easter egg hunt will be held over two days, Easter Saturday and Easter Sunday, April 15 and 16.
The YPS is in Weston Park within the miniature train complex.
There will be hourly sessions from 10am to 5pm. Tickets include a ride on the train, a Cadbury chocolate goodie bag, facepainting and the hunt as well as the chance to win prizes.

GOOD FRIDAY, APRIL 14 TO EASTER MONDAY, APRIL 17
THE GREAT CORIN FOREST EASTER EGG HUNT
Corin Forest will be holding an Easter egg hunt at 11am every day over the Easter long weekend. Bring the whole family up to enjoy this beautiful alpine bush setting and hunt around for the goodies the "Easter kangaroos" have left.
And best to let Corin Forest know you're coming so they have enough eggs on hand.
