A Canberra man who allegedly threatened to kill his parents and broke their front door has been granted bail.

Navid Lou, 25, who appeared in the ACT Magistrates Court with two black eyes on Saturday morning, was charged in relation to the incidents after an argument with his mother at his parents' Greenway home just after 5pm on April 1.
Lou had allegedly yelled at his mother during a dispute about getting her to drive him places, before kicking and punching in two of the front door's four glass panels after leaving the home, court documents said.
Minutes later he allegedly called his father's mobile number and yelled, "I'm coming back and I'm killing you both", the documents said. The defendant had stayed over the night before.
Police had been searching for him since, and a prosecutor told the court the defendant had been linked to five houses, and been told by a police officer on the phone he had been reported as a missing person.
He was arrested during a traffic stop in Isabella Plains on Friday afternoon, and taken to Canberra Hospital for treatment to head injuries suffered before police had found him, documents said.
Asked at one point by Magistrate Peter Dingwall how he had received the black eyes, the defendant said he had fallen from a pushbike.
During the court hearing the defendant regularly stared at two men in the back of the court, with his duty defence lawyer eventually asking Magistrate Dingwall to ask the two men - who said they had attended for a separate, already-completed case - to leave.
The defendant mouthed the words "get the f*** out" to the men as they left.
The prosecutor opposed bail, saying there was a likelihood the defendant would not attend court and would reoffend if released. Evidence pointed to the defendant living a "chaotic and unpredictable" lifestyle, and he had admitted to police to being a drug user, the prosecutor said.
Mr Dingwall granted bail with extensive conditions, saying the defendant appeared to lead a "frenetic" lifestyle but now apparently had a fixed residence arranged by his girlfriend.
The defendant was prohibited from leaving the new residence between 6pm and 7am except in his girlfriend's presence, was ordered to report to police three times a week, and both he and a second person had to provide $2000 sureties.
He returns to court on May 24.
