Uber has logged 20,000 trips in its first month in the ACT, prompting the ride-sharing business to label Canberra its fastest growing Australian market.
Since being welcomed by Chief Minister Andrew Barr on October 30, the company has signed up 350 drivers in the ACT and carried about 10,000 passengers. Uber's own data showed most drivers work part-time and drive about 19 hours per week, earning more than $30 per hour in fares.

Former Australian vice-captain Brad Haddin has declared day-night Test matches "a massive success", adding his replacement Peter Nevill now "feels at home" as the team's wicket-keeper.
Haddin also backed Canberra junior Jason Behrendorff to force his way into Australia's fast-bowling rotation after Mitchell Starc fractured his foot, Peter Siddle tweaked his back and Mitchell Johnson retired.

9.19am: There was a three-car crash outside the British High Commission on Commonwealth Avenue but that one cleared up pretty quickly so you shouldn't experience any issues.
9.18am: An earlier crash on Hindmarsh Drive at Woden is clear after a street sweeper removed debris off the road.
9.16am: Congestion caused by a six-car pile-up southbound on Gungahlin Drive should hopefully ease soon with tow trucks on the way.
8.59am: One southbound lane of Gungahlin Drive in Aranda is still blocked following a six-car crash near the Belconnen Way exit. Tow trucks are on the way.
8.33am: Street sweepers are on their way to clear debris blocking the right-hand lane of Hindmarsh Drive heading eastbound at Woden.
8.25am: An earlier traffic incident on Hindmarsh Drive in Woden is still blocking one eastbound lane near Tyagarah Street. There's debris in the right-hand lane following a two-vehicle crash (not a car breakdown as we were previously told).
8.23am: An earlier two-car crash on Flemington Road in Harrison which blocked the turning lane into Well Station Drive is now clear.
8.18am: One southbound lane of Gungahlin Drive in Aranda is closed following a car crash near the Belconnen Way exit. Please steer clear.
8.02am: A car breakdown on Hindmarsh Drive in Woden is blocking one eastbound lane near Tyagarah Street.
8am: A two-vehicle collision on Flemington Road in Harrison is blocking the turning lane into Well Station Drive.

Veteran radio host Mark Parton has quit his breakfast show on 2CC, the latest shake-up in Canberra's breakfast radio offerings.
Parton said his final show would go to air on December 18, ending seven years with the station and 16 years as a regular fixture on Canberra radio.

The Molonglo River has been a hot spot for wakeboarders in lieu of any beaches in the capital, and it looks like it's going to stay that way.
With the rising popularity of the sport in Canberra, ACT Wakeboard are holding their Summer Series, which will lead up to the Australian Nationals, in March and April next year.
