The Canberra Public Schools website launched on Wednesday is a "one-stop shop" for information about the territory's government schools, Minister for Education and Training Joy Burch said.

"This portal holds information about Canberra public schools on a clear and easy to use stand-alone page," she said.

Ms Burch said an Education and Training Directorate consultation found parents and carers wanted information about locations, websites and enrolments more clearly located online, especially for those new to the ACT's education system.

"This web page has been designed to address that feedback from parents and carers," Ms Burch said.

"It has a fresh look and feel, and contains information, feature articles and useful links for parents and carers. It also has a search engine for parents and carers to search for schools in their area, details on curriculum, programs and enrolment."

The portal also links to school websites, holiday information, ACTION Buses, SunSmart, the 'Parents and Students at the Centre', 'Trending #successstories', and 'Public School Alumni' pages.
