The production won five awards, including Best Production of a Musical and Best Director of a Musical.
Les Miserables (Roo Theatre Company, Shellharbour) won three of the acting awards for musicals.
The play that won the most awards was Canberra Repertory's Pride and Prejudice, winning four, including Best Production of a Play, Best Director of a Play and Best Actor in a Featured Role in a Play for Sam Hannan-Morrow. Rep was also the company that won the most awards overall, winning six, followed by Free-Rain with five - including Best Actor and Actress in a Play for Jarrad West and Naone´ Carrel in Doubt: A Parable - tied with MoonGlow.
CAT Awards patron Mary Porter MLA donated a new scholarship, worth $2500, for a young person to pursue a theatrical career. The recipient was Pete Ricardo, who was also co-winner of Best Actor in a Musical for Hair (tying with Danny Condon in Crazy for You).
