The sole division one winning ticket in Thursday night’s Powerball draw was bought from the Thistle Kiosk in Westfield Woden Shopping Centre, but the new multimillionaire has not come forward and may be unaware of the life-changing value of his or her ticket.

The Thistle Kiosk’s Lauren Kelly said staff were waiting for the winner to show.

“We’re so excited - we’re hoping they come in today and we can see who it is,” she said.

“I think we have had a couple of bigger wins, but not in the recent past.”

NSW Lotteries spokesperson Belinda McDougall urged the holder of the unregistered entry ticket to have it checked.

“That ticket with the winning Powerball numbers on it is worth $10 million, so we recommend anyone who believes they are holding the winning entry to keep it in a safe place and contact NSW Lotteries immediately to start the prize claim process,” she said.

“Unfortunately the winning entry is not registered to a NSW Lotteries Players Club card, so we have no way of contacting the winner to tell them the amazing news.”

Ms Kelly said the kiosk could only pay out winnings of less than $1000, with larger winners given a kit and connected with NSW Lotteries.

“I think it usually takes about two weeks for big wins to get into their accounts,” she said.

The winning numbers were 11, 38, 12, 25, 24 and 13, with the Powerball number 7.
