Casting call for faces of Fashfest

More than 270 fashion hopefuls strutted the catwalk on Sunday in the hope of being crowned one of two faces of this year's Fashfest event.

The event at the National Convention Centre was the biggest model casting ever held in Canberra for a single event, with applications smashing last year's turnout where 165 hopefuls vied for a spot on the Fashfest catwalk.

For the first time, one male model and one female will be chosen as the faces of the 2015 festival in May. The successful models are expected to be revealed in about a week.

Each model will receive a one-year contract to work with Canberra's HAUS Models and Sydney-based Wink Models.

The judging panel for the Fashfest 2015 model casting included Fashfest co-founder and HAUS Models managing director Andrea Hutchinson, Wink Models managing director Taryn Williams, freelance fashion stylist and blogger Hayley O'Neill, Alice Be Curious owner, fashion buyer and blogger Daniella Jukic and Fashfest photography director and HAUS Models photographer Leighton Hutchinson.
