An ACT Environment and Planning spokeswoman said results indicated no pesticides or herbicides in the water. Algae is also at a normal level, as is the level of oxygen in the water.
Large and small cod have been found dead at Yerrabi and Gungahlin ponds over the last two weeks. Fishing enthusiasts have been concerned the entire large cod population would be wiped out, which would be a setback after years of stocking.
Aquatic ecologists will take samples from live cod on Tuesday for more tests at the University of Sydney.
