Just a handful of people were ejected and no arrests made after nearly 10,000 people descended on Manuka Oval for Canberra's inaugural day/night cricket match on Tuesday.
Police have praised the behaviour of the 9583-crowd on hand to farewell Ricky Ponting in his last international cricket appearance.
Thirteen people were ejected from the oval for being intoxicated and behaving in an unruly manner, but no arrests were made.
Operational Commander Sergeant Matthew Corbitt said it was a "great turn out" of generally well-behaved cricket fans.
“The good behaviour of the crowd allowed people to have a safe and enjoyable time and it was definitely a family friendly environment," he said.
