Canberra drivers have been warned to expect changed traffic conditions associated with the 2013 Australian Running Festival and the AFL match between the GWS Giants and St Kilda at Manuka this weekend.

Road closures will be in place from 5am on Saturday to 4pm Sunday with affected areas including Acton, Barton, Kingston, Parkes, Forrest and Griffith.

In Manuka, Fitzroy Street between Empire Circuit and Manuka Circle will be closed, along with Manuka Circle between NSW Crescent and Canberra Avenue.

Warning and diversion signs will be erected near the closures and an extensive list of affected roads is available at tams.act.gov.au. For up-to-date information on road closures residents can call Canberra Connect on 13 22 81. Ticket holders attending the AFL game will receive free travel on all ACTION services on Saturday.

Parking inspectors are expected to be out in force in the area around Manuka Oval with drivers at recent events who parked in grassland and other unauthorised areas receiving fines.
