Daniel Mark Lovelock, 31, is facing a string of charges committed in February and March this year.
He pleaded guilty on Tuesday to an incident at a Charnwood service station one Saturday morning last month.
Lovelock went inside after filling up his car about 6am, grabbing coke and Red Bull.
Instead of paying, he threatened the attendant with a knife, demanding money.
The worker refused and retreated from him, so Lovelock left with the petrol and drinks.
He was later found by police hiding in a cupboard in his ex-girlfriend's home. Lovelock was also charged over an incident in February, which saw him tamper with mail inside an Australia Post van.
He pleaded guilty to two charges relating to the damage and theft of mail on Tuesday before Chief Magistrate Lorraine Walker.
Lovelock also entered pleas of guilty to an aggravated robbery charge, drug driving, theft, and taking a motor vehicle without authority.
A court previously heard that Lovelock has an ice habit.
He was committed to the ACT Supreme Court for sentencing, and is expected to appear in early May.
