David Eastman wants and needs a break after 19 years in prison

The image of David Eastman as the lucky murderer, freed only by some trifling technicality, burning with hate, determined on revenge and still a clear and present danger to anyone involved in his incarceration, as suggested during bail hearings on Friday, is a far cry from an essentially timid, if verbally acute, elderly man who mostly now wants a complete retreat from his 25-year ordeal and time to take stock of a world that has fundamentally changed since he was put behind bars.
