Ms Hunter is now almost surely facing defeat in the northern electorate following the publication of the latest round of preference distributions this afternoon.
The results point again to an Assembly with eight Labor, eight Canberra Liberal and eight Greens MLAs, with Ms Hunter trailing Ms Berry by 857 votes.
In Molonglo Attorney General Simon Corbell is leading Labor candidate Meegan Fitharris by about 1200 votes, while Canberra Liberals incumbent Steve Doszpot has again overtaken Liberals candidate Elizabeth Lee.
In Brindabella, Canberra Liberals candidate Andrew Wall is leading Greens MLA Amanda Bresnan by about 600 votes for the final seat.
Elections ACT will update its count again this evening with several thousand more votes.
Electoral commissioner Phil Green said there would be just 700 to 1000 more postal and declaration votes to count on Saturday.
The Canberra Liberals are currently leading the primary count by 42 votes.
