Earlier on Tuesday afternoon the RFS issued a Watch & Act alert for a fire near the Monaro Highway that was moving towards the Murumbidgee River.

At 4.20 the fire was downgraded to "Advice". While there is no immediate danger, the RFS recommends residents living nearby to stay up to date in case the situation changes.
