The ACT Supreme Court earlier this year found laws governing inquiries into criminal convictions were unfair and unconstitutional, because they prevented the court taking submissions on what it should do with the findings of an inquiry.
That has now been fixed through amendments to the Crimes Act, which will allow the court to take submissions after the conclusion of future inquiries.
