The fire in bushland east of Uriarra Village was reported soon after 1.20pm and contained by 4.30pm.
The fire was burning in a westerly direction away from Uriarra Village, the Emergency Services Agency said in a statement.
Ten tankers and two light units were sent to respond and no properties were threatened.
Crews remained on the scene for several hours after the fire was brought under control, to strengthen containment lines and conduct mopping-up operations.
