Joshua Luke Ferguson, 28, has pleaded not guilty to accessing and possessing child pornography, and refusing to provide passwords to police investigators. Court documents, filed in the ACT Magistrates Court, said Ferguson, of Kambah, was charged after his former employer had the computer forensically examined in July.
A computer expert allegedly discovered pornographic images of boys during the search and called police.
Officers seized data from the hard drive which allegedly revealed two pornographic videos as well as a number of images depicting boys.
Police raided Ferguson's Kambah home on Tuesday, seizing electronic equipment which allegedly contained more child pornography material.
Ferguson allegedly refused to supply investigators with passwords to a smart phone and a number of online accounts.
The court on Friday heard Ferguson had since provided passwords to police so they could continue with their investigation.
Magistrate Peter Dingwall agreed to grant bail upon Ferguson providing a $3000 surety.
He will reappear in February.
