Poisoned bait will be buried on reserves in northern Canberra on Wednesday as part of the continuing fox cull in the Mulligans Flat Nature Reserve.

The bait will be buried at Mulligans Flat and the Goorooyaroo nature reserves. The ACT Parks and Conservation Service has warned residents that domestic dogs are banned in the area.
"Baits will be shallow buried and will not be placed within 500 metres of residential properties," Urban Reserves sanctuary ranger-in-charge Stephen Wilkes said.
"Pet owners are advised that domestic dogs are at risk of poisoning and there is no effective antidote to the 1080 poison."
Mr Wilkes said the fox culling program was designed to control feral predators in the reserves and help protect native fauna and reintroduced species.
"Signage has been placed at the entrances to the reserves to inform residents that 1080 poison is being used in the area for fox control and that dogs are prohibited," he said.
