It is good to see that the Australian War Memorial, by its very nature one of this country's most tradition-focused organisations, is moving with the times.

A quite 21st-century piece of military kit, an all-wheel drive Bushmaster, went on display outside the administration building on Thursday morning last week.
An Australian engineering masterpiece, the Bushmaster is as ocker as "oi, oi, oi" and can outdo most kangaroos in the agility stakes.
This example served in Iraq and Afghanistan but was retired after an engine fire in 2010. The exterior has since been restored to pristine condition.
Hoons hoping to take it for a test drive with the aid of a can of fuel and some jumper leads will be disappointed however.
While it looks "as new" there is no engine or gearbox.
Bummer!
